As a reminder, Thursday, October 17th, will be a 60-minute early dismissal for all students to accommodate Parent-Teacher Conferences. Additionally, there will be no school on Friday, October 18th, as conferences will continue throughout the day.
We value the opportunity to connect with you during these conferences to discuss your child’s academic progress and growth. Your involvement and partnership are essential to their success, and we appreciate your commitment to their educational journey.

The Keep Kids in School Coalition will be offering physicals and immunizations for District 186 students on Wednesday, August 7th at the Sangamon County Department of Public Health. Sign-in hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
No appointment needed.
The clinic will only serve District 186 students who are entering Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 6th and 9th grade and those who are new to Illinois who must provide a current physical exam and immunization record. All 12th grade students must provide proof of having received a dose of the meningococcal vaccine on or after their 16th birthday. The legal parent or guardian must accompany their child.
No sports physicals will be offered. Thank you!

2nd grade Maple Tree Tapping!
Black Hawk 5th grade students participate in the Rube Goldberg Competition at LLCC. Mrs. Schweska's Home Room finished in 2nd place and a chance to compete at the Engineering Open House at the University of Illinois and Mrs. Gunn's Home Room will have their project displayed at the Kidzeum.
