They visited the city of St. Malo. St. Malo is best know for being a pirate city during the 17th century, as well as the birth place of explorer, Jacques Cartier.

They visited Chambord Castle and Chartres Cathedral. They are seeing so many historic sites!
Mrs. Grendze, our French teacher, and students planned a trip to France prior to COVID. This summer they made it! We will be posting pictures as they send them across the pond!

Congratulations to our athletes who had their signing day yesterday! Laney Parker will play softball and basketball at Black Hawk Community College. Camren Kincaid is playing basketball at Lincolnland Community College. Tye Banks will be on the court for Parkland Community College. We are so proud of them!
Congratulations to D’Angelo Standley for being named CEC Student of the Year!! We are so proud of the student he has become and cannot wait for him to come back and be a motivator for future Lions! 🦁
Congratulations to our Foreign Exchange student Claudia Lopez on receiving the Foreign Exchange Student Award! We were happy to have her in our building learning with us this year!
Mrs. Stubblefield’s AP Psych class has been studying the importance of understanding mental health. Students worked on different projects to promote a positive school culture. For their project, some students sat in the Commons and had students sign a poster of positive messages and handed out treats. Another group of students put positive messages on lockers for students.
Last Friday we celebrated some our amazing students with a movie, snacks, and drinks! We are so proud of these students for being discipline referral free and for having great attendance!
