Owen Marsh Lego League Grades 2-5 Information: To clarify some common questions: 1. The program will be FREE 2. The meeting times will be tailored to when the coaches can meet, this may not be directly after school. Meetings will be at school. 3. Coaches will be trained in person and have access to videos to prepare. The curriculumn is scripted and coaches do not need to be "techy" to coach. 4. The season ends with an expo, where teams share their work to two "judges" (this is not a competition). 5. We are aiming to have our expo with the Boys and girls Club on Saturday, May 4th, which means getting 12 sessions in before then. 6. We would like to start ASAP. Please note we have not scheduled the game 3rd week as we are still trying to determine where we will play.

We are still having tutoring in both the a.m. and p.m. on Monday's and Thursday's for those students that have been selected. Monday - Feb. 5 - 8:00 - 8:40 and 3:45 - 4:30 Thursday - Feb. 8 - 8:00 - 8:40 and 3:45 - 4:30 Monday - Feb. 12 - 8:00 - 8:40 and 3:45 - 4:30 Thursday - Feb. 15 - 8:00 - 8:40 and 3:45 - 4:30 Monday - Feb. 19 - No School Thursday - Feb. 22 - 8:00 - 8:40 and 3:45 - 4:30 State testing is coming up in March. So we hope this practice will help students increase in areas of needed improvement.

Parents, We're excited to launch a new program for our students. The FIRST Lego League (FLL) program can only be successful with the volunteer coaches. FLL makes it easy for volunteers- no STEM, Coding or robotics skills needed- there is a scripted facilitator guide. 2 volunteer coaches will mentor 6 students through a 12 session program that culminates with an expo to share their projects.
