  • Students, if you need help with your classwork or homework, After School Tutoring is held in Room 266 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.


  • Students, don’t forget: The Peace Room is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:30-2pm to any student needing support and a safe space to assist with mental health concerns. Check your Canvas to sign up or ask Mrs. Coley!

The Fine Arts Festival is on Wednesday, May 14th.  We would need help setting up before the event — any time after 3:30 P.M.  This can be for service hours or just to come and help.



  • The Sister Cities Association of Springfield (SCAS) will be sponsoring a high school student delegation to Ashikaga, Japan from June 21 to June 30, 2025.

The delegation will include high school students and 2 chaperones. Information and application materials can be found on the SCAS website:

  • Any senior athlete who is planning on playing a sport next year in college, please stop by the main office and pick up a Signing Day Information Form.  This form must be completed and turned in to Mr. Barnes no later than 3:30 on Friday, May 16th.  If you do not turn in a form, you will not be recognized.


  • 7 & Senators auditions will be held on Wednesday, May 7th at 2:30 in the Auditorium. Please come prepared to sing the National Anthem a cappella. We will teach you a portion of a song as well.



  • Be A Senator will be having our last meeting today after school in the cafeteria at 2:20.  We will be voting for officers for next year and getting our yearbook photo taken at 2:45.  


  • Do you love writing, editing, interviewing and using your voice to share your opinions? Then The Senator Newspaper family wants you! Pick up an application from Ms. Negele-- room 362-- and return it by Tuesday, May 13. You must apply and be selected to be enrolled in the newspaper class for next year. 


  • Student Council and Class Officer elections will be held next Thursday, May 15th. Information for those interested in running can be found on the class Canvas page. Forms must be turned in by this Friday by 3:30 PM to run. See or email Mr. Kramer with any questions. 


  • The Springfield High School Boys Tennis Team competed against Jacksonville yesterday. In singles, Matthew Sommer and Rohan Ugrappa won, while the teams of Krish Khurana/Jai Khurana and Rohan Ugrappa/Matthew Sommer emerged victorious in doubles.


  • In Junior Varsity action, the doubles teams of Ian Delcomyn/Nate Pasman, Charlie Holzmacher/Anshul Nagrecha, Eric Dong/Mox Amin and Eizeldin Qushi/Adeyiwola Adenipebi claimed victories. Good job by everyone who played.


  • The Fresh/Soph Boys Track and Field team won the city title last night at Memorial Stadium.  City Champions were: Jamel Battie in the 100; Christopher Taylor in the 400; Brandon Moody in the 1600; Sam Batterman in the 3200; Elijah Taylor in the 110 hurdles and the 300 hurdles; Jeremiah Brown in the Shot Put and Discus; Chritcheon Taylor in the long jump, Kenny Banta-Taylor in the triple jump; the 4x100 relay team of Victor Adekola, Carter Kim, Tristan Smith, and Jeremiah Brown; the 4x200 relay team of Christcheon Taylor, Jeremiah Brown, Jamel Battie, and Kenny Banta-Taylor; and the 4x400 relay team of Jeremiah Brown, Kenny Banta Taylor, Vedant Patel, and Brandon Moody.  The Fresh/Soph boys next compete on Tuesday at the Lanpher FS Invite to finish the season!  Congrats boys!


  • The Varsity Boys Track and Field team won their 16th straight city title last night at Memorial Stadium.  City champions were: Mekhi Newman in the 100, 200 and 400; Jacob Tolsdof in the 800; Jordan Green in the 1600; DJ Peeler in the 3200; Micah Bonansinga in the 110 hurdles; Trey Sutton in the Shot Put; Mayango Jallah in the discus; Jaiyden Wilson in the long jump; the throwers relay team of Romello Washington, Armanze Lewis, Trey Sutton and Mayango Jallah; the 4x400 relay team of Deanthony Brown, Benjamin Walden, Jacob Greco and Mekhi Newman; and the 4x800 relay team of Clayton Borah, Collin Nolte, Finn Murphy and Jordan Green.  The boys next compete at the Collinsville Invite on Saturday. Congrats Boys!


  • The soccer team finished the CS8 undefeated with a 6-1 victory over Rochester. Kamryn Hoffman, Addie Maddox, Bridget Lyons, and Madison Clark scored for the Senators. Kamryn Hoffman, Ainsley Lambert, Emma Allen, Kalyn Burton and Zoe wall picked up assists. Great effort by everyone and Congratulations on the Conference Championship.
