Good morning, Springfield High! Today is Thursday, Sept 18th
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the Peace Room is open and available to students for support in the Guidance Office-8:30-9am and 11:30-2pm.
We ended with over 400 students who qualified for the Homecoming reward of $5 off for perfect attendance. Keep tracking your attendance, if you have absences that need excused, get it done now. DO NOT WAIT until the end of the semester to try to correct. Stay on pace to get that final exemption by being here every day. Freshmen, good news yet again, we have found three retroactive 91%+ days for the 9th grade! But last week saw the 10th, 11th and 12th graders show up every day above our 91% rate. Special shoutout to the sophomores, who had the day with the most people here, 95% attendance one day! The sophomores also have taken over the lead for best attendance this year. As a school we have surpassed the 93% mark. Keep showing up. Your presence each day matters. Every day counts at SHS!
The PSAT/NMSQT signup is now available for 9th-11th graders. The PSAT/NMSQT is the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test for juniors. While 9th and 10th graders may sign up, scores will not be counted for the scholarship. The due date to sign up is October 1st. The cost of this test is $18.00. Cash or checks must be paid in the Guidance Office by October 1st. The date of the test is October 29th. Any questions? Email Mrs. Lauer.
